A jolly good year for sports fans in Brunei

'TIS indeed the season to be jolly.

Sports fans in Brunei have been treated to probably the best basketball year with the emergence of the Barracudas in the Asean Basketball League (ABL) earlier this year and also the appointment of a new basketball coach, Kevin Reece, to end the year.

To all the ABL fans and The Brunei Times readers, Barracudas' Filipino point guard Leo Avenido (pic, above) sends his warmest season's greetings.

The picture shows Avenido already in festive mood after the Barracudas-Philippine Patriots match at the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas on Dec 13. Avenido and his mates will be back on court on Jan 4.
