Strong Eagles soar to third

STRONG Eagles showed that they were indeed the best of the rest when they triumphed over L&H Motors 80-75 in an overtime thriller to claim the bronze in the Open Category of the Chung Hwa Middle School (CHMS) Alumni Association 18th Anniversary Basketball tournament at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat yesterday. In the early match, Haska had an easier time in the semi-final of the Under-18 category by disposing of SPE 58-44.
L&H Motors had a crucial opportunity to put away the match, tied at 72 a-piece with approximately 20 seconds left in regulation, but a mental lapse resulted in them taking too much time off the clock to get a good shot off.
Strong Eagles would make them pay by capitalising on the missed opportunity thoroughly outplaying their opponents in every aspect of the game to snatch victory from their opponents.
Ho Hee Lee led the charge for Strong Eagles with 20 points while Goh Boon Tiong and Liu Kwang Shiong chipped in 16 and 10 respectively.
L&H Motor's Phang Seng Fu led all scorers with 21 points in the losing effort. Read More…
