IT'S not over until the fat lady sings.
While there was no fat lady singing yesterday, the saying could not be truer as it required last minute come-back wins by both Soon Lee/ Easyway B and Soon Lee/ Easyway (Under-18) to capture the crown for their respective categories.
Soon Lee/ Easyway B managed to prove to the country that they are no second team when they left it till the dying seconds of the match to secure a victory over their brother team Soon Lee/ Easyway A 77-75 in the final of the Open Category of the Chung Hwa Middle School (CHMS) Alumni Association 18th Anniversary Basketball tournament at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat.
Meanwhile, Soon Lee/ Easyway completed a Soon Lee/ Easyway sweep of the tournament by going on a last minute charge to put away CHMS Bandar 76-72 in the Under-18 category of the tournament.
The game between the two Soon Lee/Easyways got off to a fast start but it was the B team who had the better shooting touch early on in the game, jumping to a 4-0 lead, courtesy of team captain Choo Yung Jian, who finished with a total of 18 points on the night. Read More…
