Coach Bong THE Barracudas team that defeated the KL Dragons 94-76 at the MABA Stadium in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday night were a different side that lost to the Singapore Slingers 87-69 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Sunday. But what were the changes that coach Bong Ramos made in just 48 hours to conjure up their first victory in the inaugural ASEAN Basketball League (ABL)?

"It was just a simple thing. In the first game, the team were too eager to play and in turn they didn't play smart. We didn't maximise our size advantage in the low post with (Lonnie) Jones and Mike (Pilgrim), but last night (Wednesday night) we managed to execute and use them fully,"said Ramos.

"We just have to execute and wait and everything will follow," continued the Filipino coach.

The Barracudas shot a blistering 57 per cent from the field hitting 40 of their 70 field goal attempts. Read More…
