Barracudas score 'mother of all victories'

THE Barracudas pulled off an impressive 95-70 victory over league leaders, the Philippine Patriots, in their Asean Basketball League match at the Indoor Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex in Berakas yesterday.
It is also a historic win as this is the first time that the Sultanate has beaten the Philippines the region's powerhouse in the sport.

"I would say that this is a big win for all of Brunei and it can be considered the mother of all victories," said Mike Pilgrim in an interview with The Brunei Times yesterday. 

"I'm just happy to be a part of such a great family of people and it's not just us out there when we play ... we won as a country today (Sunday)," added the 25-year-old American.

The Barracudas' win halts the Patriots' six-game winning streak.
