HHY hand Easyway their 1st loss

A BATTLE between two unbeaten teams in the Under-18 category of the Basketball Youth Cup saw HHY pull off a 77-69 victory over Easyway Delima in the second round of Group A at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat last night.

The triumph takes HHY's unbeaten run to five games and snaps Easyway Delima's five-game winning streak.

Foo Gwen Tong had a game-high 29 points to lead HHY and Loo Zhi Hung chipped in 13 points.

On the other hand, Jamri Ramlee topscored for Easyway Delima with 19 points and Yeo Chun Kiat contributed 13 points to a losing cause.

Easyway Delima got off to a blistering start firing on all cylinders.

HHY, meanwhile, looked lost making turnovers to gift their opponents easy points.

Foo tried to keep his team close by putting in 10 points for the quarter, but his side stayed down 12-20 going into the second period. Read More…
