Easyway Qlap down Pyrogen, top group

Lim Liang Wei led all scorers with 21 points for Easyway Qlap while Choo Yung Jian poured in 20 points.
On the other hand, Yeo Chun Kiat had 14 points for Pyrogen and David Choo chipped in 12 points in a losing effort.
A battle between two teams from the Belait District saw Pyrogen get off to a better start while Easyway Qlap were making too many turnovers as their opponents led 17-13 after the first quarter.
Easyway Qlap turned the tides in the second period when they went on a 12-0 run to snatch the lead at 24-17 midway through the quarter.
Pyrogen had lost all their offensive power despite dominating the boards.
Easyway Qlap, meanwhile, were relying on their good passing in transition to score with the open man.
Pyrogen finally got on the scoreboard in the quarter through Ho Boon Siong, who scored all of the team's six points in the period, with three minutes left in the quarter to only trail 23-28 heading into halftime.
Both the teams exchanged baskets throughout the period until captain of Easyway Qlap, Yung Jian, took charge with some good shooting putting in 11 points to help his team extend their lead to double figures. Read More…
