HHY outplay Phil's Trading

HHY put on a strong showing in the second half to come out on top 72-56 against Phil's Trading in Group C of the Under-18 category in the Basketball Youth Cup at the Brunei Basketball Association court in Batu Bersurat last night.

Foo Gwen Tong led HHY with 21 points and Darren Wong contributed 19 points.

On the other hand, Tony Bong topscored for Phil's Trading with 18 points while Wee Chyuan Seng and Jon Lee each chipped in 11 points to a losing cause.

HHY got off to a strong start relying on their speed to go on fastbreaks to get them points quickly.

Both teams were equal on the boards but Phil's Trading couldn't match up to their opponents' intensity and eventually fell behind 23-16 at the end of the first quarter.

Phil's Trading came out a different team in the second period as they slowed the game down. This allowed them to catch up to their opponents.
