WhiteHaven: No EasyWay, Knights defeat TSB

GADONG, BSB -- (Group A) WhiteHaven showed that it’s not a walk in the park for EasyWay Bunot in yesterdays Under-23 Youth Basketball Cup in Batu Bersurat.

EasyWay Bunot started to outrun WhiteHaven with their up-tempo game giving them a 24-10 lead in the first period. But WhiteHaven tried to close up the gap with 45-40 just before halftime.

EasyWay Bunot took its first loss of the tournament when Aying poured in a game-high 24 points and Whitehaven handled EasyWay Bunot, 79-69. Mangoroban also joined the scoring table with his 15 points. Hj Rahmat had a limited 14-point performance while Soon Kian Leong scored 12 points for EasyWay Bunot.

Earlier game saw (Group B) Knights defeated TSB, 58-54 in the Under-18 category. Teo Lian Soon had 17 points, Dalton Lim added 13 points for the Knights. Chua Chi Xuan burst for 29 points, Nicholas W. added 18 for TSB.
