Palm Cafe, AMBS oust opponents both advance to Finals.

GADONG, BSB – Geve Leones and the rest of the team are in great shape in Palm Cafe’s (Group A #1) rout of Aziz Latiff (Group B #2) 99-82 in the cross-over round of the 7 star category of FBA-LBC Cup yesterday in Batu Bersurat gym.

Geve Leones finished with 26 points and scored 11 of the team’s 22-13 first period outburst, and veteran Elmer Alburo added 21 points and was once again deadly in the perimeter. Romero and Erwin Ang led Aziz Latiff with 16 points and 15 points respectively.

On the other game, Wildcats (Group B #1) failed its bid to reach the finals after they lost to AMBS (Group A #2), 105-83 as Final score.   

ABMS started out strong with 34-12 by the end of the first period and 51-31 just before the end of first half. Kaka Espartero the head coach of ABMS relied once again on their choking full court press causing Wildcats commit turnovers without a pure point guard.

Roy Binas and Joven Mangoroban ignited the offense with 31 points and 21 points each. Wildcats led by 34 points of Ronnel Sugnan in losing effort, Rey Katipunan contributed 12 points.
